AI for Impact โ€” Landing page & campaign design for a Google.org-backed AI education initiative

AI for Impact is a free AI training program for teachers, healthcare workers, and journalists across Vietnam โ€” part of the AI Opportunity Fund: Asia-Pacific, an initiative by AVPN with support from Google.org and the Asian Development Bank. I designed the landing page and campaign visuals end-to-end, solo.

01 โ€” Context & Problem

AI for Impact is a nationally significant initiative backed by Google.org and ADB โ€” aimed at putting practical AI skills in the hands of people who create the most ripple effect in Vietnamese society: teachers, healthcare workers, and journalists.

The program is 100% free with international certification and access to AI experts through Office Hours. But free alone doesn't build trust โ€” especially with teachers in rural areas with limited tech exposure. The landing page had to communicate legitimacy, reduce skepticism, and convert visitors into registrants.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Callout: The audience is skeptical by default โ€” "free" can mean low quality. The design had to lead with credibility: Google.org, ADB, AVPN front and center before anything else. Trust first, then features.

02 โ€” Design Challenges

1. Three distinct personas with very different motivations Teachers, healthcare workers, and journalists each come with different questions and different levels of tech confidence. The page had to speak to all three without losing focus โ€” using a "who is this for" section to give each group a moment of recognition.

2. Dark, bold visual language for a social impact program Most social impact education platforms default to light, friendly aesthetics. AI for Impact needed to feel different โ€” ambitious, forward-looking, national in scale. Dark background with green accent created contrast and energy while partner logos anchored credibility.

3. Communicating a complex program structure clearly Foundation and Advanced tracks, multiple cohorts, Office Hours, community component โ€” presenting this without overwhelming first-time visitors required clear information hierarchy and progressive disclosure.

03 โ€” Approach

The page opens with "Advancing People, Advancing Vietnam" โ€” immediately positioning this as national, not niche. Partner logos (Google.org, ADB, AVPN) appear in the hero section, above the fold, before any program description. Trust-first strategy: let the partners speak before the content does.

The "Why AI for Impact?" section uses icon-driven benefit blocks to answer common skeptical questions quickly. The program structure section uses a timeline/track layout to show depth without overwhelming.
